We are excited to announce that fellow Krav student, Jonathan Williams, will be offering the North Carolina concealed carry certification class at CSDKM. This class is based on the USCCA curriculum with a focus on rules specific to North Carolina. We will break this class into 2 days. On the first day, we will cover the CCH curriculum and on the second day, we will cover handgun safety and spend an hour on the range.
Day 1 - Firearms fundamentals and safety 11/8 from 12:30 to 6:30 (at CSDKM)
- Firearms safety
- Types of firearms and ammunition
- Situation awareness
- Review of the applicable NC state laws
- Discussion of self defense scenarios and their aftermath
Day 2 – Range Day 11/9 - Live fire session 1:00 - 4:00pm (First part at CSDKM then drive on your own to OnPoint range)
- Revisit safe handgun handling
- Range safety discussion including safety and etiquette
- Students will demonstrate safe firearms handling
- Ability to engage a target at 3, 5, and 7 yards
The class fee is $100 and includes both classroom and range time. This class is open to everyone including non-CSDKM students. To receive your training certification to be eligible for your NC permit, the student must: (*Note: permits are issued by your county sheriff according to state law)
- Attend both sessions
- Pass a written test
- Attend a range session and show safe firearm handling and ability to engage a target at 3, 5, and 7 yards.
